Lions Baseball Looks To Make Some Noise At The ACCC Tournament Championship
The Wallace State Lions’ baseball team heads to Oxford on Thursday to compete in the 2025 ACCC Division I Baseball Championship. They finished the regular season with a 33-21 record overall and 21-15 in conference play. The Lions are the fifth seed and will open play against Northwest-Shoals on Thursday at 11:00 am.

Wallace State Baseball Splits Doubleheader Against Northwest-Shoals
After winning six out of their last seven games, the Wallace State Lions hosted the Northwest-Shoals Patriots from Muscle Shoals. Wallace State lost the first matchup 0-1 but won the second game 6-1. The Lions are now 21-11 overall and 9-5 in conference play. The Patriots left with a 19-13 record.

The Wallace State baseball team bounced back with a conference doubleheader sweep on the road at Lawson State. The Lions won the first game 14-5 thanks to a strong pitching performance by Luke Fernandez. They took game two by a 10-7 score.

Wallace State Cuts Ribbon on New Baseball Field
Wallace State Community College cut the ribbon Saturday on the new baseball field at James C. Bailey Stadium before the Lions took on Northeast Mississippi Community College in a double-header. “It’s a great day to be a Lion,” said Wallace State President Dr. Vicki Karolewics. “We have always had a culture of winning here at Wallace State given our winningest coach in the state of Alabama and due to the competitiveness of our baseball team. We are going to have a great year. So, go Lions!”
