Wallace State Lions had a monumental task to keep their championship dreams alive as they faced the 7th-seeded Gaston in the NJCAA World Series  Final Four in Yuma, AZ. Gaston entered the game as the NJCAA’s top offensive team, leading in hits, runs scored, batting average, on-base percentage, and doubles.

The 11th-seeded Wallace State Lions kept their championship dreams alive as they defeated 12th-seeded Chipola 4-3 in the NJCAA World Series in Yuma, AZ. The Lions will play 7th-seeded Gaston in the Final Four at 5:30 on ESPN+.

The 11th-seed Wallace State Lions (50-14) kept the offense going in a 10-2 win over 16th-seeded McCook to remain alive in the NJCAA World Series in Yuma, AZ. The Lions will play tonight at 8 pm on ESPN+ against the loser of top-seeded Florida Southwestern and 12th-seeded Chipola.

Lions Softball Stays Alive with Win Over Southern Union

It was a battle of the top two teams in the ACCC when Wallace State and Southern Union met in an elimination game at the 2025 NJCAA National Softball Tournament. The Lions staved off elimination with a 6-2 win over the Lady Bison. Wallace State (48-14) will play later tonight against the loser of 12th-seeded Chipola and 20th-seeded Navarro.

The Wallace State softball team opened the 2025 NJCAA National Tournament with a 6-2 loss to 6th-seeded Odessa College. The Lions will play again on Wednesday in the loser’s bracket.

The Wallace State women's golf team capped the year with a fifth-place finish at the NJCAA Division II National Championship. The Lions competed at the four-day national tournament at the Cedar Point Golf Course in Boone, Iowa. The Lions finished with a team score of 1,372 (+220) over four rounds of action.

The ninth-ranked Wallace State Lions’ softball team heads to Alabaster on Thursday as the top seed in the 2025 ACCC Softball Championship. They finished the regular season with a 46-11 record overall and 26-6 in conference play. The Lions are looking for their seventh tournament championship in the last nine years and 17th overall. They open play on Thursday at 2:30 pm against the winner of Northwest-Shoals and Coastal Alabama-South.

The Lions secured the 2025 regular season conference championship with a split of their two-game series at Southern Union. With the 11-8 win in 13 innings, Wallace State claimed the top spot in the conference. Unfortunately, the Lions fell 6-2 in the second game. The Lions improve to 45-10 overall and 25-5 in conference. Southern Union falls to 38-13 overall and 22-8 in conference play.
